We’re practically in the middle of winter, and the cold is really chilling our bones. With good company, the right music, and the perfect snack, these are the craft beers we recommend to warm you up, in our bars or even at home. Cheers!
Bee Beer Don Perañon – 9% ABV – Spain. Our Triple IPA demi-sec with pear is a few days away from being on-tap again so pay attention to our socials for that. David Bowie’s Heathen is the ideal pairing for this reinterpretation of the Brut IPA.
Schloss Eggenberg Samichlaus Barrique – 14% ABV – Austria: Aged in oak barrels, this lager combined with a good cigar or chocolate invites you to sit down and philosophize about life or read some Russian classic.
Gulden Draak Calvados – 10.5% ABV / Cuvee Prestige Laphroaig – 10.5% ABV – Belgium: Two Belgian Strong Ales to share, the classic and the 9000 aged in Calvados and Bourbon/Scotch Whiskey barrels respectively. Enjoy them with several friends, a good blue cheese (Savel, Gamoneu, or even A Stilton), or with our Bee Beer Chueca special pizza.
Schlenkerla Rauchbier Märzen – 5.1% ABV – Germany. It will make you feel like you’re in a cabin, with beechwood bonfire included. This smoked classic from Bamberg invites you to drink pint after pint after pint.
Bee Beer Capitan Pistachio – 9% ABV – Spain. We close our eyes and transport ourselves to the harbor, Tom Waits rambles in the background, with smoked sardines in Chueca or a Captain Beefheart in Debod. This Salty Pistachio Stout is our most sought-after winter beer and with good reason.
The Garden Brewery DDH IPA Non-Alcoholic – Croatia. If despite the cold, yours is a Dry January, and you want to try a different non-alcoholic beer apart from the already established Lervig and Hitachino.
Bee Beer Agent 99 – 8% ABV – Spain. Honey, basil, and orange. Body and softness in a single drink. You know it well, John Coltrane with her.
Maltman Barley Wine – 10% ABV – Spain. Along with stouts, barley wine is a winter-style favorite for its balance of maltiness, bitterness, and high alcohol content. It’s a pure and simple tribute to malted barley. Perfect to sit down, write these lines and watch the sunset in front of Debod’s temple.
